things to do while on quarantine
hello everyone! how are you all doing? it’s been days since the nationwide lockdown and I know some of you must have been reading on some articles already on what are some stuffs you do during quarantine.
luckily, since i decided to have some rest despite of the work we are facing rn, I am able to come up with a list of things to do while we are all on quarantine ✨
•have a good sleep 💤 | staying late or up all night weakens the immune system despite on taking daily vitamins. 8 hours is a must, exceeding also may cause you a different problem, it may slow down your brain functioning if you exceed on the 8 hr HS if you do this daily.
•skin care in the morning & night 👩🏻| upon waking up + saying a prayer you may also do a morning skin care routine same goes with before going to bed
•you may have your home workout 🏋️♂️ but if not, you may update yourself on some news about the latest #COVID19 updates | depend only on those legitimate sources 📡
•prepare or eat your breakfast | there’s a lot of quick n ez low carb breakfast u can try while on quarantine, ( thinking of posting my 2 ingredient- pancake, should i? comment down 🥞) idk but i always believe that a key to having a great day is having a nice breakfast 🍳
•do chores | maghugas ka or magwalis ka naman, or even mag ayos ka ng hinigaan mo kagabi plz, your parents are not getting any younger, be responsible, you need to help them, you know the drill 🧹
•play some music | there are playlists at spotify that i’ve been listening to, you may search categories of the genre you want and try to listen and create your own to go, chill or even clean playlist also at this point you may also take a shower 🚿
•help prepare or suggest new recipes to try on during lunch or dinner 🥙| this is the time to learn a new skill that will come handy in the future (i have experienced working far from my parents & struggled most of the time finding home-cooked meals in the area)
•stay hydrated 💦 | you might notice that sometimes when you’re scratching your skin there’s this white particles showing, hopefully it’s not a skin disease but it may show that you are dehydrated, same goes with easily chapped lips. drink 4-6 liters of water a day so your skin will be hydrated as well, have it set up on a alarm on your phone, each alarm = 1 glass of water.
•drink vitamin c 🍊 | i take about 1500-2000mg of vitamins per day, that’s about 3-4 tablets. If you have fruits at your home you may also have them as well as some fruits rich in anti-oxidants.
•disinfect your common areas 🧹 | as i have said, your parents are not getting any younger, you need to help them by simply doing light chores. if you have someone or paying someone else to do the chores, well ok. but if not or just like our situation which our angels were sent home to their families, let tiktok wait, tandaan mo di kana makaka tiktok kapag may covid kana.
•binge-watch shows on netflix or on the internet 💻

-HTGAWM
-HIMYM
-Pretty Little Liars
-Grey’s Anatomy
those are my all-time faves and i never get tired of re-watching those shows!
•have a life outside social media, it’s ok not to post anything on facebook, instagram & twitter. give it a rest, you don’t need to copy or do everything what everyone is doing.
•read a book | no pa sosyal effect, it’s really a nice way to relax, instead of reading non-sense political views of you twitter friends 📖
•list the things you wanna do after this lockdown ✏️ | this may come handy once the lockdown has been lifted.
•wash all areas first with water
•then shampoo your hair🧴 let it stay for just a few minutes or you can massage your scalp/ use those scalp cleaner brush
•wash your hair
•then you need to wash your body on this order (feet, legs, hips, torso, arms, neck)
•then make sure you get rid of all the soaps in your body so you need to rewash again on this order (feet, legs, hips, torso, arms, neck)
•use conditioner | i really have a long hair so this is a must for me.
•while letting the conditioner stay, you may dry your body and start dry brushing it again with oil based body scrubs or body scrub again on this order (feet, legs, hips, torso, arms, neck)
•after dry brushing you can wash carefully everything,
•after washing, you may now do you face routine, face wash etc.
•make sure you have your towels with you before taking a bath.
•use 2 towels in drying you entire body, one for your hair & one for your body. same goes with not drying yourself thoroughly, remember bacteria likes wet surfaces, it may cause body odors and skin problems if you haven’t dried yourself properly.
•clean your desks/ space | i do this all the time, i have soo many pens, so many art materials for my bujo, same goes with you study table you may disinfect them too!
•take longer baths 🛀 | i don’t have a problem with this since I do take super looong baths even kapag I am late going to school 😛 i usually take a bath around 9am in the morning.
here’s a summary of the routine I do during bath:
•dry brush all areas ( you may do it with oil / trader joe’s 100% vco)
•wash all areas first with water
•then shampoo your hair🧴 let it stay for just a few minutes or you can massage your scalp/ use those scalp cleaner brush
•wash your hair
•then you need to wash your body on this order (feet, legs, hips, torso, arms, neck)
— use soap first then shower gel then shower creme ( you may use multiple brands depending on what your body needs )
•then make sure you get rid of all the soaps in your body so you need to rewash again on this order (feet, legs, hips, torso, arms, neck)
•use conditioner | i really have a long hair so this is a must for me.
•while letting the conditioner stay, you may dry your body and start dry brushing it again with oil based body scrubs or body scrub again on this order (feet, legs, hips, torso, arms, neck)
•after dry brushing you can wash carefully everything,
if you’re careless and you still have areas with soap, it’s either you get skin problems or odor problems, this is why don’t even try taking a bath soo quickly.
•after washing, you may now do you face routine, face wash etc.
•make sure you have your towels with you before taking a bath.
•use 2 towels in drying you entire body, one for your hair & one for your body. same goes with not drying yourself thoroughly, remember bacteria likes wet surfaces, it may cause body odors and skin problems if you haven’t dried yourself properly.
that’s it! most of the time i do those stuffs, I don’t really think of the boredom i’ll experience. I just kept my mind busy.
